howdy

So, Tali met the family. She says mom's an amazing cook, so Mom, no more talking about how you're no cook. It was good stuff. She had a great time with everybody up there in Midway, so way to be family. We can be good hosts it turns out. I think that I've talked with all of you about her, so I won't go into details about her here.
As for Zach's mission, He's going either Spain or Portugal, final answer.
Oh yeah, I got my first paper accepted for publication. That was nice to see.

Ben's Predictions for 2008

Hey everyone,

I thought I'd share with you my predictions for 2008, enjoy!

Zach's Mission: Chile (After his mission he will speak with a funky Chilean accent for two months and we will all make fun of him. He will also insist that we all pronounce Chile correctly: Chee-Lay.)

President: Obama (With a smile like that, how could he lose?)

Simon: Will get married and settle in Provo for good. (Why would anyone ever want to leave Prove anyway?)

Amelia and Tyler: Will put Mikaela and Kacher in TV commercials and make millions. Tyler will then become the family doctor and only work on us.

Mom and Dad: Will quit real estate and dance to become full-time Total Health Fitness counselors and turn us all into health nuts.

Ryan and Abby: Now that Ryan is an official businessman, they will join the country club in Phoenix, take up golfing, wear sweaters, and begin speaking with fake English accents. (Hmmph, do please pass the tea and crumpets, dear)

Nellie: Will graduate super early from high school and come to Syracuse University and join the cheerleading team with me. Maybe they will make us partners! Nellie will also break 20-30 hearts by flirting with boys but then telling them that she is too young to date.

Bonnie: Will get some high-paying job and leave me home with the kids. Hooray!

Ben: Will break 200 pounds and once again assume his position of undisputed dominance among the Kacher brothers (The age difference hasn't helped since high school). In the more immediate future, he will stop playing on the computer and get back to studying. He will, however, continue to speak in the third-person for the rest of the day.

Have a great day everyone, love you all!

News from the Pillaging Pearces

Tyler just pulled his way through a wretched month of internal medicine. Internal medicine doctors are the ones who spend miserably long hours at the hospital pulling their hair out trying to diagnose the sickness and writing neverending pages of notes on patients who are stuck at the hospital for months waiting for a cure that doesn't exist! Tyler was either at the hospital or home asleep this past month. We are officially a part-active family, as Tyler hasn't been to church in over a month. Fortunately the light has come, the rotation ended today, and we get to say Hallelujah that Tyler chose to do Emergency Medicine, not Internal Medicine as his career. The good thing about this rotation was that he was too busy to eat, and so at the end of the month he still had $80 on his meal card (it's dining plus all over again). We feasted like Kings and Queens at Wishard Hospital... Chicken Fingers, mashed potatoes, Fat greasy old French Fries and all the Icecream sundaes we could ever want!Since I just can't get rid of my sweet tooth, I decided I better hit the gym with a bang. I volunteer there two hours a week at the KidsZone which gets me a free membership. I've been following the good old "Body for Life" weight lifting schedule and after just a month of working out, I won my first weightlifting championship as you can see below. The Chinese recruiters were particularly impressed with my physique. When I'm not trying to keep the house clean, feeding the kids, or winning weightlifting championships, I can often be found snuggled up with a good book. The stack of books by my bed keeps growing, so I just keep reading!
Mikaela seems to have a thing for fancy dresses sewed by Grandma Polly. Somehow she decided that the Kacher family Bumblebee halloween costume made her look more like a beatiful princesses than any of her other princess dresses. She's been wearing this around for a week now and even insisted on wearing it to preschool!

Kacher really is just adorable, that's all I can say about him. Here he is talking to Grandma Polly and Nellie on the phone, well he's listening to them and grinning away. It was really cute.
Suddenly Kacher started screaming and refusing to eat whenever we'd put him in his highchair. Finally we figured out that he was just feeling big time excluded, as soon as we put him at the table with the rest of us he settled down and ate his food like a perfect little boy. I guess he'll be ready to pass the highchair on to Cousin Riley at our May get together.
Even when he finishes his meal, he keeps himself occupied.

Pearce's Political advise for those Super Tuesday Voters: Although we feel utmost loyalty to the beautiful Arizona, we will not be supporting the native Arizonan candidate, John McCain. Vote Romney (according to Tyler) (the rest of the house doesn't have much opinion on the matter).

Zach's Mission: INDIA, pronounced with a lovely EEENdian accent!
